Solano Community College (SCC) is proud to announce that Superintendent-President Dr. Kellie Butler has been selected as a recipient of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Paragon Award for New Presidents. This prestigious award recognizes new college presidents who have demonstrated outstanding support for student success, leadership development, and the creation of high-quality learning environments. 


Dr. Butler will be honored at PTK’s Annual Convention, Catalyst 2025, which will take place from April 3-5, 2025, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The award will be presented on April 4 during the Third General Session, where she will be recognized on stage in front of thousands of students, advisors, and fellow college leaders. 

 

Reflecting on this honor, Dr. Butler expressed gratitude not only for the recognition but also for the exceptional faculty and staff at Solano Community College, particularly those at the Vacaville Center, home to the college’s renowned biotechnology program.
