Solano Community College is thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Equityfest 2025: HumanityGPT — Gathering People Together, an inspiring and action-driven event aimed at building a more equitable future for all. The event will be held Friday, May 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Solano College Theater, located on the Fairfield Campus, 4000 Suisun Valley Road.
Equityfest 2025 promises a dynamic day filled with empowering discussions, interactive
workshops, student panels, live podcast recordings, and vibrant art and music. This
event is a full day of learning, collaboration, and community building.
Highlighting the event is keynote speaker Lasana Hotep, renowned educator, entrepreneur, and Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at the University of California, Berkeley. With over 20 years of leadership experience in addressing issues of identity and culture in higher education, Hotep will bring powerful insights to the day’s conversation.
This event is free and open to the entire community. Everyone passionate about equity, belonging, and positive change is encouraged to attend.
