Nursing

Solano Community College offers a two-year Associate Degree in Registered Nursing (ADN) that prepares students for careers as licensed registered nurses in a variety of healthcare settings. The program is fully approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Before admission, students must complete prerequisite courses in biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and general education with grades of β€œC” or higher. Once admitted, students progress through a comprehensive nursing curriculum that combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical training in medical-surgical, geriatric, maternal/child, pediatric, and psychiatric settings.

Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensing exam and are prepared for entry-level nursing positions in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare environments.
