The Associate in Arts in Music for Transfer (AA-T) degree at Solano Community College provides students with a solid foundation in music theory, musicianship, and performance. The program prepares students to pursue a wide range of specializations including instrumental and vocal performance, jazz, composition, musicology, ethnomusicology, music education, and the music industry.
Designed for seamless transfer to the California State University (CSU) system, this program ensures students are well-prepared to continue their studies in music while developing the creative and technical skills needed to succeed in both academic and professional settings.

To earn the AA‑T, students must complete 60 transferable semester units—including an approved General Education pattern (either CSU GE Breadth or IGETC) and at least 18 semester units in music coursework—maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA and earning a grade of C or better (or P if taken Pass/No Pass) .
