The Cosmetology program at Solano Community College is fully approved by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Designed to prepare students for the California State Board of Cosmetology licensure examination, the program provides comprehensive education and training in accordance with state regulations.
Students receive instruction in both theory and practical application, developing fundamental skills across all phases of beauty culture, including hair, skin, and nail care. To ensure consistency and compliance, there is no reciprocity for transfer students — all participants must complete the full sequence of technical, practical, and program requirements.

Certificate of Achievement in Cosmetology – awarded upon completion of all required cosmetology training and coursework.

Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree in Cosmetology – available to students who complete the cosmetology curriculum plus general education requirements.
