Our Art, Art History, and Digital Media Arts Departments are committed to providing high-quality programs and services that support developmental education, transfer pathways, and workforce development.
The Art History program provides the academic and practical experience to prepare students for a career, or further education at a four-year institution, in art history and related fields, such as museum studies, art education and administration. The Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer provides the academic and practical experience to transfer into the CSU system to complete a baccalaureate degree that will prepare students for a career in Art History.

Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer (AA-T)
Designed for students planning to transfer to the California State University (CSU) system, this degree includes a minimum of 18 semester units in the Art History major, together with IGETC or CSU-GE breadth requirements—totaling 60 transferable units. Students who complete the AA-T with a minimum 2.0 GPA, earning grades of C or better (or P if Pass/No Pass) in major courses, are guaranteed admission to the CSU system as junors. -
Associate in Arts in Art History (Non‑ADT)
This traditional AA degree includes the Art History major coursework along with general education and elective courses to reach the 60-unit degree requirement. This pathway supports transfer to both CSU and UC systems, as well as private institutions, and also builds a well-rounded foundation for diverse academic and career goals.
