TRIO SSS-STEM
The TRIO Student Support Services – Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (TRIO SSS-STEM) Program is a nationally recognized academic support program that specializes in supporting eligible students in STEM and Prehealth fields.
The TRIO SSS-STEM Program is targeted to serve and assist low-income individuals, first generation college students, and individuals with disabilities who are STEM or Prehealth majors. Those attending college for the first time may be undeclared but have a strong interest in STEM and Prehealth fields.
The academic support provided through our program is designed to help eligible students stay motivated in school, improve their academic standing, and achieve their goals in completing their associates degree or certificate and/or assist with their transfer to a 4-year institution. Furthermore, our program works with the Financial Aid Office to improve students’ understanding of how to pay for their education through different types of financial aid and to provide assistance for filling out the FAFSA. Students in the program can also learn about scholarships and internships for which they are eligible.
