Lieutenant Brian Travis joined the Sheriff's Office in 2006 as a deputy sheriff.  He became a Field Training Officer (FTO) in 2007 and served in this capacity until 2008 while on patrol.  In January 2009, Deputy Travis became the Family Violence Intervention Detective working in collaboration with the Solano County Office of Family Violence Prevention.  In December 2010, Deputy Travis was promoted to sergeant.  As a sergeant, he was assigned to the Office of Emergency Services (OES) until he was reassigned to take over supervisory responsibilities for the Investigations Bureau in 2012. 

In April 2015, Sgt. Travis was promoted to lieutenant and managed Courts Services Division until June 2016, when he was assigned to Solano Community College Campus Sheriff's Office as the Service Area Manager.  He also served as the overall commander for the Solano Countywide Mutual Aid Mobile Field Force Team and serves as a watch commander on a rotational basis. 

Prior to joining the Sheriff's Office, Lt. Travis was a police officer for the South San Francisco Police Department from 1997 through 2006.            Lt. Travis' educational background and training includes:  a graduate of  the FBI National Academy Session 273, a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Management, Advanced POST Certificate, Robert Presley ICI Homicide Course, Robert Presley ICI Domestic Violence Course, NIMS Train the Trainer 300-400, and many others. 

In addition to his duties at the Sheriff's Office, Lt. Travis is currently a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserves where he holds the rank of major.  He is a veteran of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Conflict and the Iraqi War.  Major Travis' military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Iraqi Campaign Medal. 

Lt. Travis was involved with community services.  He represented the City of Fairfield on the Citizen Advisory Committee to the Tri-City & County Cooperative Planning Group.  He also served on the Pedestrian Advisory Committee to the Solano Transportation Authority (STA).

Deputy Sheriff Maranda Russell has been with the Solano County Sheriff's Office since February 2016.  Prior to the Solano Sheriff's Office, Deputy Russell worked at the Dixon Police Department for 10 years in various positions.  During her time with the Sheriff's Office she has been assigned to the courts and patrol division. 

In February of 2017, she was selected as the college deputy for the Solano Community College Campus Sheriff's Office.  Since her arrival at the college, she has played an active role in mentoring and leading the new Community Service Officer (CSO) program offered through the college's Occupational Education program. 

Deputy Russell looks forward to developing relationships with the students and staff at Solano Community College to create a safe and welcoming environment for students to continue their education.

 Deputy Williams

Deputy Sheriff Bryant Williams has been with the Solano County Sheriff's Office since 2014, where he has been assigned to patrol as well as court services in both Fairfield and Vallejo.  Deputy Williams is also a member of the Solano County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard. 

Deputy Williams worked for the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office between 1993 and 2013, where he worked a variety of assignments ranging from detention, patrol, investigations, and SWAT to eventually retiring at the rank of sergeant. 

Deputy Williams is also a veteran of the United States Navy, where he traveled abroad extensively working as a Cryptologic Technician.

Deputy Williams holds an Associate's Degree in Humanities from San Joaquin Delta College and a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the University of California at Davis. 

Deputy Williams grew up in Stockton, California, but currently resides in the local area with his wife and two sons. 

Deputy Williams feels it is a privilege, and looks forward to, working with the students, faculty and staff at Solano Community College. 

 Technician Andrea Uhl

Campus Sheriff's Office Technician Andrea Uhl has worked for Solano Community College since 1998, beginning as a Student Worker and Registration Aide in Community Services.  Over the years she has been Extended Campus Assistant and Student Services Generalist at the Vacaville Center, Student Services Assistant in the Admissions and Records Office, and Administrative Assistant in Workforce Development, Grants Management, and Continuing Education.  She joined the Campus Sheriff's Office team in July 2015. 

Andrea is a Solano College graduate, having earned two Associate in Arts Degrees in German and General Foreign Languages.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in German from California State University, Sacramento.  She also studied at Heidelberg University in Germany and ActiLingua Academy in Vienna, Austria.

Parking Enforcement Officer Tania Gay has been with Solano Community College since October 2013.  Prior to that she was with Vacaville Police Department for nearly 30 years.  She spent 12 years supervising the CSI/Evidence Office.  Other assignments at VVPD included Civilian Investigator, CVSA (lie detector) Examiner, Evidence Technician, Dispatcher, Crime Prevention Technician, and Truant Officer.

Sheriff's Security Officer Kristin Clark-Webb was born and raised in Solano County.  She graduated from Vacaville High School in 2012 and began her career with the Solano County Sheriff's Office in March of 2017. 

Kristin was heavily involved in both the Solano County 4-H and FFA programs as a youth and was pursuing a career in Agriculture Education.  However, a college Criminal Justice class sparked an interest that allowed her passion for education and helping others to take a new form and changed her career goals.  She is currently working on completing an Associates degree in Agriculture as well as Administration of Justice and is working towards completing her P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate. 

After beginning her career with the Sheriff's Office, she was primarily assigned to working the Fairfield courts with a goal of working at the Solano Community College Campus Sheriff's Office.  She is very excited to have this opportunity and looks forward to providing security for the campus and building positive relationships with staff and students. 

In her free time you can find Kristin camping and fishing with family and friends or going on adventures with her fiancé.

Sheriff's Security Officer Fred Gray entered law enforcement at the age of 21, working for the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.  He promoted to the rank of sergeant, working mainly at the Richmond Station.  He retired after 29 years of service.

Fred came out of retirement to work for the Contra Costa Community College District Police Department for 5 years, then retired again.  Eventually he got the law enforcement bug again and came to work for Solano County Sheriff's Office in 2012, being assigned to the Solano Community College Campus Sheriff's Office. 

Fred was born and raised in Richmond, California.  He attended Richmond High School, Contra Costa College, and Chabot College.  He enjoys playing golf and spending time in Maui.

Sheriff's Security Officer Allan Lamb has been with the Solano County Sheriff's Office since early 2013, primarily working at the Solano Community College Campus Sheriff's Office.  Allan retired as a lieutenant from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office after 25+ years of service.  He has worked the Oakland Airport, Coroner's Office, Civil, Bailiff's, Mobile Data Unit, and the jails. 

Allan holds an Associate in Arts Degree from Solano Community College.

Sheriff's Security Officer Ben Salazar has been with the Solano County Sheriff's Office since May 2016.  He was previously employed by the Solano College Police Department as a Police Aide for 2 years.

Ben holds an Associate in Science - Transfer Degree in Criminal Justice from Solano Community College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento. 

Ben is a local to the Solano County area, and often spends his free time hunting and fishing.
