Section InformationThe section information provides overall information related to the class, including course material fees if applicable. Additional course material fees will be charged to the student's account during registration once the student submits the CRN in the MySolano registration page. The "Search for textbooks" link is directed to the Solano Community College Bookstore for book/cost information related to the section. Textbook sales in the bookstore begin one month before the start of the term. Order textbooks online anytime. Click on the printer icon to print the page. The section will meet for all scheduled times. Times listed as TBA refers to hours “To Be Arranged” by the instructor. In the “Course Description and Additional Information” for the section additional hours outside of class time may be included. Online/hybrid (Distance education) courses will have TBA listed for times. Some online/hybrid (distance education) courses may require mandatory meetings as noted in the “Course Description and Additional Information” for the section. Students are advised to visit the Distance Education page for important information, including computer system requirements before enrolling. Start-End Dates indicate the WEEK the section begins and ends. The class will meet on the day(s) and time(s) listed, excluding holidays and Flex Days for most courses. Some Nursing/Allied health courses or courses in special programs, including non-credit classes, may have scheduled instructional days on holidays and Flex Days as advised by the instructor of the section. Seating AvailabilityThe seating availability columns indicate, in real time, the number of students enrolled, the maximum capacity for enrollment and the number of available seats for the section.
Waitlist AvailabilityThe waitlist availability columns indicate, in real time, how many students who have placed themselves on a waitlist, the maximum number of waitlist slots assigned to a section, and how many waitlist seats are available for a section. Not all sections will have waitlist slots assigned such as restricted sections, cross-listed sections, or sections with a corequisite.
Critical DatesThe “Critical Dates For Section” provide key registration deadlines related to adding and dropping this specific section.
Crosslisted (C/L) Sections"C/L" refers to cross-listed sections. Typically, cross-listed sections are different levels of instruction such as beginning, intermediate, or advanced in a shared classroom with the same instructor. Cross listed sections are separate CRN's linked together in a group and assigned to the same date, time, room, and instructor with a combined capacity. An example of cross-listed courses is one classroom where Math 007-Prealgebra, Math 123-Elementary Algebra, and Math 127-Intermediate Algebra meet but each course has a separate CRN with a combined capacity of 30 seats. The capacity number for a specific CRN in a cross-list group may have a restricted limit, such as only 5 seats assigned though the overall cross-list group capacity is 30 seats. The "Available" column will indicate the number of available seats for each CRN and the "Overall Crosslist Seating" indicates how many seats are available in relation to the overall capacity set for the cross-listed group. Course Description - Corequisites, Prerequisites & Advisories
For some courses such as in Allied Health, a prerequisite may have additional requirements other than course completion. Certain programs (Nursing, Licensed Vocation Nursing, Psychiatric Technician) require admittance to a special program or a current CPR card that requires student clearance prior to enrollment. For more information on prerequisite clearance prior to enrollment, please visit the Prerequisites page. Additional InformationThe additional information provides key information related to the specific section such as possible mandatory meetings or other requirements.
