What is Redistricting?

Redistricting is the process of drawing district lines. It is done every 10 years after the release of the US Census. The well known examples are Congress and the legislature.

Community Colleges with districts must also do redistricting.

The Solano Community College District Board of Trustees is seeking public input on the proposed trustee area lines chosen by unanimous vote by the Board of Trustees.

The process of reviewing trustee area boundaries within the district is done every 10 years after the release of the United Stated Census. Solano CCD hired the Community College League and Redistricting Partners to facilitate drawing new trustee areas that were in compliance with federal and state law.
