Solano Community College’s Biotech program is fortunate to work closely with many partners, including the employers of our students and other educational institutions.

As the birthplace of biotechnology, the Bay Area remains a global leader, with a high concentration of leading biotech firms as well as exciting new start-ups. Since our program began, our courses have been designed with the needs of biotech employers in mind. That’s why we’re focused on the manufacturing aspects of biotech, consistently graduating students who are prepared to step into technician jobs already familiar with state-of-the art equipment, laboratory procedures, quality control, regulatory requirements, and how to communicate effectively within a team.
