Saturday Orientation & Assessment Event
For Spring 2016, Sept, Oct, and Dec dates available.
NOTE: Students must reserve an appointment to test at all locations.

The Testing center will be closed from all normal scheduled testing on October 3rd thru October 6th in order to proctor special testing. We will resume our regular testing schedule on Friday, October 7th.

The testing center will be closed the week of finals, from December 12th thru December 18th in order to proctor final exams. We will resume our regular testing schedule on Monday, December 19th.

The testing center will be closed for winter break from December 24th thru January 3rd, 2017. We will reopen on January 4th for our regular testing schedule.

Office Hours

On Test Day, Please Be Sure To:

  1. Arrive 5 minutes early. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your schedule time, you will need to reschedule your testing appointment.
  2. Purchase a daily parking permit/Park.
  3. Bring Photo ID and SCC ID number.

Steps for Assessment

Quick Checklist

  1. Complete SCC Application for Admission.

  2. Attend In-person or Online Orientation.

  3. Reserve your SCC Assessment Test Appointment (SCC ID# Required).

  4. For Assessment Test Appointment questions, contact:

  6. On Test Day:

  7. Purchase $1 Daily Parking Permit from dispenser.

  8. Bring a photo ID and your SCC ID Number.

  9. Assessment Center locations:

    Fairfield Campus: Student Services, Bldg. 400, Second Floor, Room 442.

    Vacaville Center: Main building, Second floor, Room 208.

    Vallejo Center: Main building, Check-in at front desk.

New students, enrolling in 6 or more units, of non-exempt courses, are encouraged to participate in Solano Community College's English Reading Comprehension, English Sentence Skills, Math and/or ESL Assessment Tests. These tests assess skills in one or more of the following areas:

  • English Reading Comprehension
  • English Sentence Skills
  • Arithmetic
  • Elementary Algebra
  • College-Level Math
  • ESL Language Use
  • ESL Reading Skills
  • ESL Sentence Meaning
