Academic Success and Tutoring Center (ASTC)

Welcome to the Academic Success and Tutoring Center!


The mission of the ASTC is to provide tutoring, support, and resources to Solano students, helping them to grow as strong, independent, and active learners in their academic and professional pursuits. Our team is made up of experienced staff, faculty, classroom instructional assistants, and trained peer tutors who are proficient in their subjects.

A recent survey by Solano's Research & Planning Department* shows that, on average, those who use our services outperform those who don't in class.**

**Research & Planning Department’s survey was July 2018: Retention – ASTC users 92.4% vs. non-ASTC users 88.4%; Success rates – ASTC users 77% vs. non-ASTC users 70%; Average term GPA – ASTC users 2.40 vs. non-ASTC users 2.09; Students who ultimately drop or fail class – only 6.3% visited the ASTC.
